The iPhone SMS Text Preview shows the name of the text sender along with a preview of the text message on the main screen whenever a new text message arrives. It’s a very convenient feature since you can quickly read incoming text messages, but it can also a privacy concern and you may want to turn it off sometimes. Luckily there is a quick and easy way to disable the preview feature.

How to Disable

To disable SMS preview go to Settings --> Messages. Turn the ‘Show Preview’ option to ‘OFF’.
